Thank you guys, I managed to recover it and flashed a new firmware. I still couldn't find a perfect RTL9220 firmware so I used a CN version of it that hopefully won't give me many headaches in the features.

Any idea how a couple of people are bricking the RTL9220
I have a RTL9220-VB-CG on the way finally getting my first RTL9220
is there some sort of a bug i should know about?

I can unbrick it ofc but just checking

be very careful when you do it and dont accidently short out any other connections when doing it btw
it will boot into the falsafe firmware that is on the 9220 then so you can reflash the spi from said failsafe firmware
Turns out the bottom doesn't contain any chips. So probably it's the little one on the bottom right of the Realtek chip. Very small, too small for tweezers, I think.

Anyway, the board is destroyed, this is just for information. Waiting for a new AliExpress offer for this one, they increased the price to 18 euros now...
